The Commonwealth Government has recently announced that it intends to establish the Commonwealth Integrity Commission (CIC). The CIC will have a mandate to detect, deter and investigate suspected corruption in the Commonwealth public sector. A detailed copy of the government’s proposal is available here. The Attorney-General’s Department has invited submissions on the proposal set out in this document, and Allens is currently in the process of coordinating a submission on behalf of the Global Compact Network Australia; the Australian branch of the UN Global Compact.

To provide feedback to the GCNA for our collective submission please email your interest to secretariat@unglobalcompact.org.au
