For a better world
Operating across more than 120 sites in Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world, Visy’s 5,000 plus employees are guided by the company’s vision to be the global leader in creating high quality, innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for a better world.
Sustainability sits at the centre of Visy’s operating model, driving strategic, long-term investments in plants, technologies and local jobs. We are committed advocates on some of the bigger issues that make a difference to customers and communities, from pushing for more sustainable manufacturing approaches to creating better economic futures for regional communities.
As a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since 2014, Visy reports progress annually on our performance against the 10 UNGC Principles, as well as supporting and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
External validation of our own systems and processes is conducted regularly by independent auditors, Sedex SMETA and Ecovadis, providing Visy management and key customers with assurance that we are compliant with the UNGC Principles.
Visy’s policy framework underpins our ongoing commitment to operate responsibly across all areas of the business, including policies on responsible sourcing, environment, safety, equal opportunity, flexible work arrangements, anti-bribery and corruption, no child or forced labour, and whistleblower and improper conduct.
We are proud of the progress we have made in UNGC related areas, including increasing alternative water sources, utilising increasing levels of renewable energy, and improving diversity across the business. Read more in The Visy Story.
