Sydney Airport is one of Australia’s most important pieces of infrastructure. It is our international gateway and an essential part of our transport network, connecting to around 100 destinations around the world. We make a significant contribution to our local and national economies, generating $30.8 billion in economic activity a year.
Our strategic vision is to foster the growth of aviation for the benefit of Sydney, NSW and Australia. To deliver on our vision for the long term, we recognise that we need to balance social and environmental needs with our corporate objectives. To do this we know that sustainability must be at the heart of everything we do.
Our ambition is to be an industry leader in sustainability. We make safety and security our top priority, we are playing our role to address climate change, we invest in the communities in which we operate, and we are committed to working collaboratively with our business partners and maintaining our Employer of Choice title.
Our sustainability approach is underpinned by our governance and risk management processes and we embed the UNGC’s 10 principles into these. We report on our performance annually via our Sustainability Report.
