Forward Faster Forum: Turning pledges into action
- DATE 4 April 2024
- VENUE Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
About
Join the UN Global Compact Network Australia for our inaugural forum on the UN Global Compact’s Forward Faster initiative – driving measurable, credible and ambitious action from companies on the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs).
At this event, we will discuss the scale of the challenge, celebrate the sustainability achievements of the Australian business community, encourage Australian businesses to move forward faster by committing to ambitious targets and share positive stories of sustainability in action.
The Forward Faster Forum, part of the UN Global Compact’s global Forward Faster initiative, focuses on accelerating action in five areas where companies can make the biggest, fastest impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) before 2030. These areas are:
- Gender Equality
- Climate Action
- Living Wage
- Finance & Investment
- Water Resilience
The Forward Faster Forum will be held before the 2024 National Banksia Sustainability Awards. To find out more about Forward Faster, the UN Global Compact’s new initiative to accelerate progress on the SDGs to 2030 check out the Forward Faster website.
Please note: UNGCNA participants are entitled to discounted tickets as part of their membership of the UN Global Compact Network Australia and the list will be reviewed to ensure eligibility.
The Forward Faster Forum is supported by the Banksia Foundation and Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and will be held before the 2024 National Banksia Sustainability Awards.
