UN Global Compact Network Australia | December 2, 2015

The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) 2015 report has highlighted Australian and New Zealand companies as global leaders in sustainable real estate practices, achieving an average GRESB score of 69, significantly above the global average of 56.

GCNA members Stockland and The GPT Group were recognised as ‘regional sector leaders’, and Lendlease was recognised as a ‘global sector leader’ status.

In relation to the land, construction and real estate sector, the GCNA and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (the leading global professional body for qualifications and standards in the sector) are holding an event on 21 October to introduce Advancing Responsible Business Practices in Land, Construction and Real Estate – sector specific guidance published by the UNGC and RICS.
