Siobhan Toohill
Siobhan Toohill is a corporate sustainability specialist, having established and led sustainability functions in listed finance and property. As the first chief sustainability officer at a major Australian bank she was responsible for sustainability strategy and led policy and action on climate change including net zero transition planning, natural capital, human rights, Indigenous engagement, strategic philanthropy and social impact.
She is a trusted advisor to business and government contributing through a range of governance roles, including as Member, Nature Repair Committee; Member, NSW Division Council Australian Institute of Company Directors; Trustee, Greater Sydney Parklands Trustee, and Member, NSW Anti-Slavery Commissioner’s Advisory Panel. Siobhan was the co-chair of the UN’s Environment Program Finance Initiative overseeing the UN Principles for Responsible Banking, and a member of the governance body for the UN’s Net Zero Banking Alliance.
In July 2024 Siobhan was recognised as the winner of the Financial Services Banking category for the Australian Financial Review’s (AFR) Women in Leadership Awards, and in 2023 she received the Chief Executive Women’s INSEAD Transition Leadership Scholarship. She is passionate about backing emerging sustainability leaders and social change makers.
