The last year has seen significant developments in the corporate sustainability space, including the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals, COP21 and the Paris Climate Agreement, an announcement by the Australian Government of national consultations on implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and increasing enforcement of corporate anti-corruption measures.
The GCNA has had a busy year keeping members up to date on trends and developments, and building capacity across our broad mandate. Over the 2015/2016 year, we held over 31 workshops, forums, webinars and other events, and engaged over 1300 participants.
The 2016 Annual General Meeting will provide members with an overview of the GCNA’s year, and an update on current projects being undertaken by the Leadership Groups on human rights, sustainable development, environment and anti-corruption. It will also serve to elect Board Members and invite member input into the GCNA’s 2017 program of activities.
Following the AGM, we invite members in Melbourne and Sydney to carry on the conversation over some networking drinks.
