GCNA Submission on the Climate Change Bills 2020

The UN Global Compact Network Australia (UNGCNA) produced a submission to the Standing Committee on the Environment and Energy. The GCNA encourages the Committee to consider how the guiding principles outlined in the Climate Change Bills are aligned to the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles on human rights, labour rights, environment and anti-corruption. Through the Ten Principles, the UN Global Compact and the GCNA asks companies to first do business responsibly, and then to pursue opportunities to solve societal challenges as outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
