Vikram Bhakoo

Vikram Bhakoo is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management within the Department of Management & Marketing at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His core domain of interest is supply chain management where he focuses on the critical issue of making supply chains more sustainable. Within the sustainability domain his current research seeks to develop a better understanding of the consequences of modern slavery legislations and mechanisms for mitigating it. Throughout his career he has researched across a wide range of industries including textiles, seafood, consumer electronics and healthcare. He has published his work in elite journals such as the Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Supply Chain Management, Organizational Research Methods amongst others.

He is currently the Associate Editor for Journal of Supply Chain Management. In addition, he also serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Operations Management and Decision Sciences. His research agenda continues to draw support from the Australian Research Council, the Australian Government, and the University of Melbourne.

Dr Bhakoo holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Delhi and a Masters in Information Systems and a PhD from Monash University.
