Director - Leveraging, Major Events – Office for Sport at Australian Department of Health and Aged Care

Ross Lum is the Director of the Leveraging Section in the Major Events Branch of the Australian Government’s Office for Sport. The Major Events Branch coordinates the Australian Government’s involvement in the bidding for, hosting and leveraging of one-off major international sporting events in Australia. This includes policy, operational, financial, and legacy support both during the bidding and event delivery phases. The Branch works in partnership with Australian Government agencies, event owners and organisers and host jurisdictions to support the safe and successful delivery of events that leave a long-lasting legacy and deliver a range of socio-economic outcomes for the Australian community.
