Rebekah O’Meagher
Rebekah O’Meagher is the General Manager of the Legal Branch at the National Anti-Corruption Commission (the Commission), commencing with the Commission from its establishment on 1 July 2023. The Legal Branch comprises three teams, two Operations Legal Teams and a Corporate Legal Team, and is responsible for providing support to all branches at the Commission and to statutory office holders.
Prior to joining the Commission, Rebekah worked for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions for approximately 18 years at the CDPP’s Sydney, Canberra, Darwin and Cairns Offices. The roles she performed included Branch Head of Legal Capability and Performance, Branch Head International Assistance and Specialist Agencies and as a Principal Federal Prosecutor in the National Business Improvements and Illegal Imports and Exports and Human Exploitation and Border Protection Branches. During her time as prosecutor at the CDPP Rebekah was involved in numerous matters involving allegations of corrupt conduct.
Rebekah holds a BA/LLB (Hons 1) from the Australian National University.
