Katherine Hawker

Katherine is Deputy General Counsel at ASC Pty Ltd, Australia’s sovereign submarine builder and maintainer.  In her role, Katherine manages the legal team at ASC and advises the company on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and commercial legal matters relating to the maintenance of the Collins Class Submarines and ASC’s workforce of 2,000 people across South Australia and Western Australia.

Prior to joining ASC, Katherine was General Counsel and Company Secretary at Naval Group Australia Pty Ltd where she was responsible for Naval Group Australia’s legal function and corporate governance frameworks throughout the now terminated Attack Class Submarine Program.  Before moving in-house, Katherine worked in corporate and commercial law in Adelaide and Sydney.
