Ivo Zhao

Ivo Zhao is CEO and Executive Director of MMG Limited, an international mining company supplying the minerals and metals essential to a low-carbon future. Appointed CEO in April 2025, he brings nearly 20 years of international experience across the mining and resources sector, with a strong operational background and deep expertise in stakeholder engagement. Ivo is committed to creating positive social and economic impact across MMG’s operating regions while advancing the company’s ambition to become a top 10 global copper producer. Previously, he held senior roles at Las Bambas and China Minmetals Corporation. Ivo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from Beijing Language and Culture University and an MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal.
