Blake Donald

Director, Competition Enforcement and Cartels, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission

Blake is currently a Director in the Competition Enforcement and Cartels Branch at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).  Blake has been involved in leading a range of criminal and civil investigations at the ACCC involving domestic and international cartel conduct.  Blake has significant experience leading investigations involving corporate and individual immunity applicants. In leading these matters Blake has managed the interview and statement taking process of immunity witnesses, including in criminal matters. Recent matters Blake has led include the investigation and criminal cartel proceedings against Bingo Industries and the investigation and civil cartel proceedings against BlueScope Steel.  Blake also worked on the ACCC’s investigation into international shipping carriers, resulting in the first modern criminal cartel prosecution in Australia and ultimately criminal convictions and fines over $80 million.
