Anna Stewart

Director, UN Global Compact Network Australia; Head of Sustainability Governance and Engagement, Coles Group

Anna Stewart has extensive experience in corporate sustainability roles for a number of ASX listed companies, and brings deep experience in ESG reporting frameworks and stakeholder engagement. She currently serves as the Head of Sustainability Reporting and Engagement for Coles Group and was previously the Head of ESG Governance and Reporting at ANZ. There she was responsible for the bank’s external ESG disclosures (including the annual ESG Supplement), responding to external ESG assessments and supporting the bank’s key ESG governance bodies – the Board Ethics and ESG Committee and the executive Ethics and Responsible Business Committee. Prior to joining ANZ, Ms. Stewart spent nearly a decade at AGL, primarily in the regulatory affairs team where she focused on energy and climate policy, before moving into sustainability reporting and community investment. Ms Stewart was appointed as a Director of the UN Global Compact Network Australia in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
