The Circular Design Thinking process is at the core of the solution. By reinterpreting the way products are designed and by moving away from the linear processes of ‘take, make, dispose’ and shift to circular models.
CDT believes that there is a better way, where overproduction and pollution doesn’t exist and waste is no longer a dirty word. We believe it’s time to value all resources, treat the earth with respect and stop the irresponsible impact on communities and planet. We advocate for a world where beautiful fit-outs, materials and sustainability go hand in hand. Our team’s passion to find solutions and initiatives to achieve a circular economy is what constantly drives them.
How We Service Our Industry
Our approach to a circular economy is holistic. We believe that education is key to making change. The circular economy is multilayered and forever changing. Working with clients across the value chain we train through The Circular Classroom and also individual businesses. We support ESG strategy and implementation through our Strategic Blueprint service as well as Carbon Pathways and Material Intelligence from the design of a product to end of life solutions. This is supported through our collaboration with Empower Product Passports. Our services are not only advisory but we engage in project management and implementation of pilots and processes.

Having extensive experience in the interiors and furniture industry, we intuitively understand the opportunities and challenges that others face. This background allows us to effectively support industry stakeholders—such as designers, manufacturers, suppliers and retailers in transitioning to a circular economy. This hands-on experience ensures that we are not just providing theoretical advice but offering practical, impactful solutions that have been tested and proven in real-world applications. CDT is the first bespoke consultancy for our industry here in Australia.
