Lasting Legacies – Understanding the regulatory and policy levers to drive business respect for human rights

Creating a lasting legacy in human rights requires intelligence, tenacity, passion and courage. GCNA members are at the forefront of the corporate conversation about human rights. As your business responds to new legislation and grapples with the role of business in respecting human rights we invite you to learn from one of Australia’s human rights trailblazers, the Honourable Justice Michael Kespect for human rights, and offer advice for corporate leaders to drive the business and human rights agenda forward.

Based on Justice Kirby’s experience with other business and human rights related regulatory change, this will include a discussion of the likely impacts of forthcoming Modern Slavery legislation on broader Australian business’ human rights risk management.

The event is kindly sponsored by KPMG Banarra.

Registration:

This event is for GCNA business members only and strictly invitation only. Space is limited.

Priority will be given to Participant Members and places open to Signatory Members from 9.00am on Wednesday 31 October when they will be allocated on a ‘first in, best dressed’ basis.
