2015 Australian Dialogue on Business and Human Rights – Outcome document published

UN Global Compact Network Australia | December 22, 2015

In August 2015, the Global Compact Network Australia (GCNA), in partnership with the Australian Human Rights Commission, convened the second Australian Dialogue on Business and Human Rights – Australia’s only national multi-sector, multi-stakeholder dialogue on business and human rights. The Dialogue brought together over 100 representatives from business, government, civil society and academia.

The event highlighted that momentum around business and human rights continues to build in Australia, including implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

A third national dialogue will be convened in 2016 by the GCNA, in partnership with the Australian Human Rights Commission.
