Andrew Strongman

Andrew joined Westpac in 2011 and is based in the Perth office where he has responsibility for the overall strategic direction of the global relationships across the Mining & Metals sector. The role includes leading a team of industry professionals located across Australia and internationally (New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore). Spread across the various sub-sectors (incl bulk commodities, gold, base metals, battery metals, agricultural minerals, the services sector and commodity trading companies), the clients are typically either ASX-listed or multi-nationals that have a material footprint in this region.

Andrew is a very experienced financing professional with a strong track record of success not only within the institutional banking segment but for the last 18-years with a specific focus in the Mining & Metals sector. Prior to joining Westpac in Nov 2011, Andrew spent 12-years at National Australia Bank where he held roles in business development, relationship management, credit risk assessment and decisioning.

Andrew is a graduate of Curtin University where he attained a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics & Finance).
