Madeleine Morris

Madeleine Morris is an award-winning international journalist and communications consultant, best known to Australian audiences as the finance presenter on ABC’s flagship breakfast television show, News Breakfast.

Prior to her four years on News Breakfast, Madeleine was the presenter of ABC/RMIT FactCheck, a senior reporter for 7.30 and spent 11 years in London at the BBC as a reporter and presenter. There she filed from more than 20 countries, including the US where she was based in 2010.

At the BBC World Service Madeleine was a specialist in developing world economics and health, and reported extensively on the MDGs. She was awarded a BBC bursary for a projecting to study HIV messaging in Uganda and Zambia and won a prestigious One World Media Award for a documentary on India’s micro-finance industry. She is a published author and her journalism has been featured in The Times, Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.

Madeleine left the ABC last year to pursue a career consulting to the private sector.
