To help Australian business to navigate new developments and share learnings in a safe space, the GCNA hosts a Modern Slavery Community of Practice (MSCoP) for business members.
The GCNA Modern Slavery Community of Practice is a small, interactive forum that operates under Chatham House Rules. The Community of Practice meets three to four times and are currently held online.
The Community of Practice’s purpose is two-fold:
- To discuss the most pressing challenges and obstacles facing Australian business with respect to managing and communicating modern slavery risks and implementing the Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act and to discuss good practice in responding to these challenges; and
- To help provide a business perspective as appropriate to related external discussions, including for example potentially discussing modern slavery statements and collective input to any consultation around government guidance for the reporting requirement.
Please note:
- Membership of this forum is by invitation only and is non-transferable with a place offered to a designated company representative per business member. If you believe another colleague within your business would be better suited to participating, please let us know.
