The GCNA invites you to join a webinar on key trends in business and human rights for 2017.
Human rights continues to be an increasingly important area of focus for Australian businesses, with growing expectations around engagement, risk management and disclosure from all stakeholder groups.
Bringing the perspectives of both global and Australian experts from different stakeholder groups, this webinar will explore the key human rights trends for business in 2017 and what the developing landscape means for businesses operating both in Australia and offshore.
Particular human rights issues that will be discussed include modern slavery, migrant labour, human rights in supply chains, inequality and the links between human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. Implementation topics including human rights due diligence, reporting and transparency, benchmarking and remedy will also be discussed. Developments in relation to government engagement in the space – including through National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights – will also be explored.
