At Elliott Insurance Brokers, we believe it is our responsibility to work with people from a number of different industries, from countries across the globe to ensure the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the planet and the people who live here.
To guide our sustainability practices, we actively support and participate in the achievement of the United Nations’ 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. These 17 goals, their 169 targets and 232 measurable indicators act as the defining framework for all sustainable development practices from their commencement on January 1, 2016, to their deadline of December 31, 2030.
We have called on experts to guide us in our commitment to sustainability to ensure we are making the greatest impact possible. We have researched these suggestions extensively and made conscious decisions to support specific causes.
In August 2017, we published our Global Sustainability Commitment. This document outlines our ongoing commitment to sustainability and tells a story of what we have accomplished to date. We still have a long way to go, and we invite you to be a part of this journey. Please take some time to read our commitment to sustainability. We also invite you to visit the websites of our partner organisations and connect with them as well as with our team at Elliott Insurance Brokers to find out how you can be a part of the change.
With this preliminary commitment and our reporting over the coming years we hope to challenge our competitors and our industry yet again. We hope to lead our industry to become a beacon of prosperity when it comes to its contribution to a more sustainable world around us. Not because it generates more profit, or because it’s good for business but because it’s right. When we finish our time in the industry, we can know we have been a part of a generation that challenged and inherently changed things for the better.
