The UN Global Compact Network Australia (‘UNGCNA’) hosts a Modern Slavery Community of Practice (MSCoP) for business participants. The MSCoP is a small, interactive forum that operates under the Chatham House Rule.
Joint Stream: 24 March 2025
Our first MSCoP session this year will be a Join Stream session on 24 March 2025. The session will open with an introduction from our new Senior Manager, Business and Human Rights, Catie Shavin.
We will then hear from the Australian Anti-Slavery Commissioner, Chris Evans, who will provide an overview of the role of the Commissioner, the Commissioner’s Office and the consultation process for the development of the Office’s strategic plan and principle objectives.
MSCoP participants will then have an opportunity to discuss and provide input into the plan and objectives. Towards the end of the session, Vanessa Zimmerman will share updated and insights on the latest legal and policy developments.
