The Global Compact Network Australia invites you to join our practical webinar on how companies operating in ASEAN and China can identify and mitigate human right risks. 

This webinar will explore the human rights context and challenges for multinational companies operating in ASEAN and China. The webinar is being supported by the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights (GBI).

Two leading experts on business and human rights in ASEAN and China – Liang Xiaohui, Peking University International Law Institute and Michelle Staggs-Kelsall, Human Rights Resource Centre for ASEAN – will discuss salient human rights challenges and risks and highlight recent policy developments that impact companies.

The webinar will also hear from two leading business representatives – Ron Popper, Head of Corporate Responsibility ABB, and Bruce Klafter, Senior Director, Social and Environmental Responsibility, Flextronics –  who will reflect on corporate practice and strategies to manage human rights impacts in the region. A moderated discussion will follow, providing participants with the opportunity to raise questions or share their own experiences in these geographies.
