Australian Government launches National Action Plan on trafficking and slavery

On 2 December, the Australian Government launched the National Action Plan to Combat Trafficking and Slavery 2015-19. The Plan includes four pillars that focus on prevention, detection, compliance and victim support and protection.
The Plan notes the crucial role of business in addressing the causes of trafficking, including through labour exploitation in supply chains.
