Mel Sutton

Mel Sutton is a Director in KPMG Banarra’s human rights and social impact specialist team.  She is a social performance senior leader with more than 25 years of government and resources industry experience across a range of Indigenous legal, policy and practice areas.

She has contributed to the design, development and implementation of major government policy and legislative reforms, as well as supported corporate clients with social impact, social licence and ESG strategies.  Mel has a particular focus working with energy and resources sector clients on cultural heritage management and Indigenous engagement practices, including the operationalisation of free, prior and informed consent (FPIC).
