5 Jul
2023

Online
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Details

Concerns about greenwashing have escalated quickly in Australia – accelerated by the rapid growth of ESG marketing and reporting in the business community. Customers, employees, investors, regulators and businesses themselves are all driving increased demands for transparent and accurate information on ESG issues.

Join us on Wednesday 5 July 12.00pm (AEST)  for a session to unpack recent developments around greenwashing, and their implications for Australian businesses.

We will hear directly from Australia’s two key regulators – ASIC and the ACCC – about how they are approaching greenwashing as a current priority, as well as some practical steps for businesses to avoid engaging in greenwashing.

Speakers include:

  • Moderator: Dan Wilcock, Sustainability & Governance Manager, UN Global Compact Network Australia
  • Elisa de Wit, Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright Australia
  • Rami Greiss, Executive General Manager, Consumer and Fair Trading, ACCC
  • Jennifer Balding, Senior Specialist, ASIC
