27 Apr
2023

Australia/Sydney
12:00 PM - 01:00 PM

Event Details

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) have identified greenwashing as a current enforcement priority. The UN Global Compact Network Australia (UNGCNA) recognises the importance of these issues and some of the evolving challenges around environmental representations made in sustainability reporting and marketing contexts. To support the Australian business community, the UNGCNA is currently developing a guidance document on greenwashing for businesses in Australia.

The UNGCNA is pleased to invite participant representatives to a Business Consultation to discuss Greenwashing, Bluewashing & other forms of Whitewashing  on Thursday 27 April 2023 12.00pm – 1.00pm (AEST).

The session will provide participant organisations an opportunity to share their views on current issues surrounding greenwashing in Australia and the potential for identifying good practice principles to avoid greenwashing.

For any queries or to express your interest in attending this participant only event, contact Dan Wilcock.
