Join the UN Global Compact Network Australia and the University of Melbourne for our invite-only event on 30 May 8.30 am – 10.30 am to mark the second session of our ongoing quarterly Advanced Climate Reporters Community of Practice (ACRCoP) titled Capability Building for Reporting: Liabilities, Greenwashing and Governance.
Under Chatham-house rule, the ACRCoP series brings together advanced reporters, legal experts and climate scholars to address the most pressing disclosure issues facing corporates. The ACRCoP offers a discussion-led space to share insights, interact with experts, identify shared challenges and build capability to support the successful transition to mandatory reporting.
Our second session for the 2024 ACRCoP series is titled: Legal and governance issues associated with climate-related disclosures. The focus of this session is on legal and governance aspects of the ASRS, including director liability, forward-looking statements (including climate transition plans) and greenwashing risks. ACRCoP Session 2 will discuss how best to bring directors ‘on the journey’ of climate disclosure, including organisational and governance strategies to assist with director engagement and capability building.
Join us for an expert-led discussion into topics on:
- Greenwashing risks and director liability
- Forward looking statements, including climate transition plans
- Strategies and capability building for board engagement
The ACRCoP is invite only, contact Evan Center, Senior Manager, Environment and Climate Change, to find out more and review your eligibility.
