Ian Overton

Ian is an environmental, sustainability and economic development leader with experience across government, industry, not-for-profit and academia. His experience includes consulting, research, strategy and governance, with previous roles including Chief Executive of the South Australian State Government agency, Green Industries SA, Principal Scientist at the CSIRO and Managing Director of Mapping and Beyond. He is currently the Principal of Natural Economy consulting and is on the Boards of Circular Australia and Regional Development Australia Adelaide Region. He has a PhD and an MBA and holds the title of Affiliate Professor at the University of Adelaide. He has a passion for climate action and sustainability and the transition to a net-zero, circular and nature positive economy.
