APT is the largest family owned tour and cruise operator in Australia. From humble beginnings over 90 years ago, APT has grown into a global business with a proud history of philanthropy and culturally-informed tourism.
APT Group has long been committed to responsible tourism. We have continually focused on achieving best practice in economic, social and environmental responsibility, which led to the establishment of OneTomorrow, a not-for-profit program with a vision to strive for a positive, enduring impact on the nature and communities we touch. This is achieved through immediate and long-term influence in various environmental and humanitarian causes.
Our vision of conscientious travel involves protecting the environment, respecting local communities and ensuring the wellbeing of the individuals within those communities. In order to make a more powerful impact, we have chosen to focus on the following UN Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Wellbeing, Quality Education and Life on Land.
Good Health & Wellbeing: APT supports several grass-roots organisations across the globe to help communities achieve basic human needs, ranging from establishing clean water supplies in remote villages, to crisis relief for vulnerable women and children.
Quality Education: APT believe in empowerment through education and are proud partners with education charities across the globe.
Life on the Land: At APT we aspire to protect, restore and promote sustainable use of our environment, and we are proud to be the only major tour operator to have Advanced Eco-Certification in the Kimberley. We are also affiliated with a number of leading conservation charities in Australia, South Africa and Antarctica and are continually looking to improve our suitability practices across our business.
