Event Details

The UN Global Compact Network Australia hosts a Modern Slavery Community of Practice (MSCoP) for business members. The MSCoP is a small, interactive forum that operates under the Chatham House Rule.

This session will focus on the mandatory criterion for modern slavery statements: “how the reporting entity measures the effectiveness of its actions”. The session will feature a dialogue with the Australian Border Force (ABF), presentations from peers on how they have approached the criterion in their disclosure, and a facilitated workshop with other participants on their approach to assessing their own actions. We will also be joined by Professor John McMillan AO to provide attendees with an update on the status of the consultation process for the review of the Modern Slavery Act.

Membership of this forum is by invitation only and is non-transferable, with a place offered to a designated company representative per business member. Contact us for more information
