The UNGCNA invites you to participate in a consultation of the Australian Modern Slavery Act, which forms part of the official Australian Government review of the Act. The review will consider the operation of the Act over its first three years and whether further measures to improve the Act and improve compliance are necessary. Professor John McMillan AO, is leading the review, and this session will be facilitated by Kylie Porter, Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network Australia.
The agenda will include:
- Overview of the Modern Slavery Act to date, including a discussion on the Issues Paper (to be released shortly) and the consultation pathways
- Q&A with Professor John McMillan AO facilitated by the UNGCNA
- Next steps for businesses.
